COOLinary: Great food at cool prices

August 4 2016 | What's New

New Orleans is packed with tons of fantastic restaurants. Even as a local, it sometime seems impossible to narrow down the appetizing choices. But don’t fret foodies, August is the month to dine out and let your taste buds explore the city. This is because over 80 award winning restaurants will be serving up some of their famous dishes at unbelievably affordable prices all month long.

Thanks to the brilliant minds behind COOLinary month, participating restaurants will be featuring 2-3 course lunch menus with options for $20 or less and 3 course dinner menus with options for $39 or less. And all of you brunch lovers out there (us included) rejoice, COOLinary heard your cries. This year, they’ve  added a 3 course brunch for $39 and below.

This wonderful event does bring up an obvious dilemma - with over 80 amazing restaurant participating, how do you choose where to eat? We recommend checking out some our favorites:

  • Andrea's Restaurant - Named one of New Orleans top Italian restaurants by Zagat.
  • Antoine’s – Dine on classic New Orleans dishes at America’s oldest family run restaurant.
  • Bistreaux- Satisfy your taste buds with fresh, locally inspired comfort food in a casual atmosphere.
  • Café Giovanni – Serving up classic Italian dishes with a New Orleans twist.
  • Court of Two Sisters – Dine on creole dishes in one of the best court yards in the city.
  • Crossroads at House of Blues – The spot to check out some yummy southern classics with a touch soul.
