Grab a glass! It's National Cabernet Day
Just when you thought there couldn’t be another national holiday celebrating, well, anything – surprise! To the joy of wine lovers everywhere, today (Aug. 29) is National Cabernet Day.
While there are many great bars and restaurants in New Orleans to enjoy a glass of wine in, a few are having great specials in honor of today. Our favorites:
Bourbon Heat – To celebrate this day, Bourbon Heat is offering $2 off every glass of Cabernet ordered, and 25 percent off every bottle.
For every other day of the year, when we’re in the mood for a nice cabernet or chardonnay, we frequent:
Maison – Besides the great atmosphere and music, Maison serves a variety of wine for only $5 a glass.
Kingfish is relatively new to the New Orleans restaurant scene, but is quickly becoming known for its fine wines. Their wine list is well thought out and can easily be paired with any of the dishes they serve.
Broussard’s often has special food and wine pairings, but the waiters are also knowledgeable about what wine goes best with items from the regular menu. If you’re just looking to order a glass and relax, then we recommend requesting a table in the courtyard.
