With events spread throughout the Warehouse District, Central Business District and French Quarter, New Orleans will be busy with daily seminars, interviews, and walking tours. The extended weekend experience even features complimentary events such as the Across the Bar Interview Series with in-depth conversations with industry leaders. Wednesday night (July 20th) features the 2nd Annual Cocktail Fresh Market, a discussion about bringing only the freshest produce back to making cocktails. Oh, and did we forget to mention there would be samples?

Whatever your schedule, you’ll definitely want to make sure that you get down to the 200 Block of Royal Street for the Toast to Tales of the Cocktail 2011 on Wednesday the 20th at 2 p.m. This year, event organizers are going for the record: The World’s Largest Genever Slurp. Raise your glass to the Toast of the Tales and help set a new world record. Stars of the week’s festivities will be in attendance, as well.

On Saturday, July 23rd, the Mahalia Jackson Theater will roll out the red carpet for the 5th Annual Spirited Award Ceremony. Guests are invited to dress in the style of 1920’s Atlantic City for “an evening of Boardwalk Empire gangsters and glamour!”
