Chef Ron's Gumbo Stop

Chef Ron’s Gumbo Stop, located in the heart of Metairie’s Galleria, minutes from downtown New Orleans. Metairie is the French term for a small tenant farm which paid the landlord with a share of the produce.

The Gumbo Stop is tucked away in a tiny strip mall on the Causeway Blvd. At this cozy spot you will find Louisiana’s finest comfort foods plus some extras. Chef Ron Iafrate only uses locally sourced ingredients in his gumbo and specialty dishes and is the home of the stuffed gumbo.

The award winning gumbo is always available. The specialty of the house are the stuffed gumbos the original stuffed gumbo is fried catfish and mumbo gumbo and the Yumbo Gumbo. Our combinations are endless here at Chef Ron's Gumbo Stop.
