Restaurant Overview
In the Arts/Warehouse District of New Orleans, you’ll find art you can eat as well as hang on your wall. Located in a charmingly restored turn-of-the-century building with exposed brick and a second-floor event space, sits Annunciation Restaurant, a favorite of locals which opened in 2012 to rave reviews. The Times-Picayune even put it on its “Best New Restaurants” list. More than a decade later, when you’re hankering for modern Creole, Cajun or Southern cuisine, it deserves a place on your must-experience list.
Executive Chef Jose Castaneda knows a thing or two about how to impress. Your evening might begin with Fried Eggplant topped with Bearnaise Sauce and Powdered Sugar, followed by an entrée such as the Roasted Duck, prepared with a Raspberry Reduction, Wild Rice, Pecans, Spinach and Bacon. Then you can end your meal with the Vanilla Crème Brulée or Bananas Foster Bread Pudding. Yes, heaven does exist, and you’ll find it on Annunciation Street.
Annunciation is also a great place to meet for inspired cocktail and small plates. You’ll be dreaming about The Fried Oysters with Sautéed Spinach and Triple Cream Brie for years to come, and the Hashed Brown Brussels Sprouts are about to become your favorite vegetable.
As far as convenience goes, off-street parking is available. If you’re looking to impress a date or a client, or for a fabulous party venue, come check it out.
