First the drinks. If you’re searching for the best hurricane in New Orleans, you’re going to want to weigh in on the one they serve at Iberville. Front of House Manager Haley Ruiz mixes a mean one!
We visited during Carnival season, so we also got to enjoy their King Cake Martini with a frosting rim and edible glitter. It was so yummy.
And ‘tis the season to have any cocktail served in a Bead Cup. Perfect Mardi Gras souvenir.
They also have an inside dog-friendly courtyard if you’re thinking of coming during Barkus.
Co-owner Bonnie Bardwell has thought of everything.
For appetizers, start with a half dozen Chargrilled Oysters. They also offer raw and Oyster Rockefeller. Such a treat.
Don’t pass up these Boudin Balls. They may just be the best outside of Cajun Country. Great job, Chef!
Their crab cakes are exceptionally fine, too. We recommend ordering a couple apps for the table to share.
We also highly recommend their Gumbo (and we’re pretty much gumbo snobs). They got it just right. You can also order it as part of a Taste of Iberville where you choose three of four traditional New Orleans dishes, including Red Beans & Rice, Jambalaya, Etouffée and Gumbo.
Their Fried Shrimp Po-Boy is killer, too. And don’t underestimate the power of good French fries. We thoroughly enjoyed these.
For dessert, you’re in trouble because you have to choose between their Bread Pudding and their Beignets. Both are out of this world. Save room!
Iberville Cuisine opened in 2023 so this is their first Carnival season. If you’re going to be here for the festivities, this is the place to not only grab a meal, but we recommend their Fat Tuesday All-Day Access Pass.
