LPO presents Mahler’s Ninth Symphony

Violinist Nikki Chooi’s playing has been described as “vigorous and colorful” by the New York Times. Chooi brings his musical expertise to the city of New Orleans and to Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3. Bright and airy, Mozart is paired in contrast with Maheler’s deeply personal Ninth Symphony. His last completed symphony, Symphony No. 9 is often viewed as his farewell.
