The 5th annual Downriver Festival will celebrate Shrimp & Sno-Balls this year. It will be held at the Old U.S. Mint and French Market from 11:00am-7:00pm. There will be live music, lectures, cooking demonstrations, tours and more all celebrating this year's theme, Oysters & the Future of Our Coast.

The indoor symposium will focus on wetland restoration, featuring speakers from Louisiana Oystermen Association, The Port of New Orleans, The Nature Conservancy and more. It is free and open to the public and will be held on the 3rd floor of the Old U.S. Mint. Just a few of the many topics include oyster shell recycling programs and coastal management.

Get oyster shucking lessons and see cooking demonstrations by some of New Orleans best chefs. There will be live music all day. Go on complimentary walking tours to Crescent Park and learn about the history of the riverfront commerce.

All in all, it's a great way to spend you Saturday! See ya there!
