Real estate developer Hugh Uhalt and Chef Michael Isolani (formerly of Bouligny Tavern and Stella) joined forces in 2016 to create Trinity Restaurant in the Lower French Quarter. Isolani’s adventurous menu pays tribute to the gumbo of cultures that give New Orleans its unique flavor.
Come by at dinnertime and experience al fresco dining on the balcony overlooking the French Quarter. Their Crispy Pork Belly is everything we hoped it would be. And who could say no to Crawfish & Fontina Beignets? The Seared Red Snapper was a poem. Whatever you do, save room for a dessert from pastry chef Sydney Rainwater whose resume includes stints with Emeril Lagasse, John Besh and Dickie Brennan. Choose from intriguing options including Coconut Cake & Coconut Bubbles and Red Wine Poached Pear with Goat Cheese Ice Cream.
Always looking for a great brunch? Us, too. Shimmy by on a Saturday morning between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for their a Drag Brunch with bottomless mimosas and treats like Praline Bacon, Breakfast Cornbread with Cane Syrup and Cinnamon Butter, and Boudin Noir & Fried Oyster. (That sound you heard was our tummies growling.) The Happy Hour is not to be missed either. We still can’t decide which we liked better: The Fried Oysters with Chili-Oyster Sauce, Bamboo Shoots and Scallions or the Smoked Oysters with Deviled Eggs, Horseradish and Cajun Caviar. Guess you’ll have to decide for yourself.
This Decatur Street eatery is also a fabulous spot for your next event, whether it’s an inspiring sit-down dinner with tantalizing wines or a cocktail party with happy hour snacks and amazing cocktails.
