Taking Festival Food to a New Level at the French Quarter Festival

April 4 2011 | News

When you think of festival food, what usually comes to mind? Around the country, most people are eating hamburgers and hotdogs, some funnel cakes, and maybe a few slices of pizza. Not here in the French Quarter! The vendors of this weekend’s French Quarter Festival are making an art form out of festival food.

Bananas foster, barbecue, shrimp, crawfish, alligator and more will be available for feasting upon. You can enjoy your hearty meal to your choice of sweet sounds from gospel, jazz, funk, classical, cajun and zydeco, brass bands and much more.

The French Quarter Festival runs from Thursday, April 7th to Sunday, April 11th.
