Bourbon Street Blues: Summer Construction Woes

Construction workers have joined the crowds on Bourbon Street.

You can’t be a 300-year-old city without needing a little work now and then. This summer, construction will make it more difficult for guests to make their way to Bourbon Street restaurants like Hard Rock Café, Red Fish Grill, Galatoire’s, Olde New Orleans Cookery and Acme Oyster House. This work will continue through December and will impact the businesses in the 100-800 blocks of Bourbon Street between Canal and Dumaine. We thought we’d take this opportunity to remind you that these beloved restaurants are still very much open for business – especially as the city prepares for COOLinary New Orleans Restaurant Month and Restaurant Week New Orleans.
