The Maison Frenchmen
A favorite venue on locally loved Frenchmen Street, The Maison is always filled with live local and national music. What some don’t know is that Maison also serves a wide range of delicious dishes, ranging from classic New Orleans fare like alligator bites and Cajun jambalaya to house specialties like the Shrimp Primavera and Uncle John’s Hamburger Sliders with Maison sauce. Gourmet sandwiches, salads and desserts round out the menu, served every day beginning at 5 PM.
Maison’s front stage features nightly music from both established and up-and-coming New Orleans musicians, including jazz, blues, rock and other genres. The back stage offers bigger acts, and the Penthouse stage upstairs is the home of special events and stage shows!
Open seven days a week, Maison rarely charges a cover. Wander in to listen to the music, grab a drink, and stay for dinner or a late-night snack. Or, have your next private event at Maison--with flexible sections, private rooms and dedicated hospitality, Maison can make your party a success.
Three floors of music, drinks and food make Maison one of Frenchmen Street’s favorite destinations. Located in a historic 19th-century building in New Orleans’ Faubourg Marigny neighborhood, Maison is a go-to venue for jazz, brass and funk shows seven nights a week--and they rarely charge a cover.
Walk over to Maison from the historic French Market, three blocks away--just cross Esplanade and you’ll be in the Marigny. Worlds away from Bourbon Street, Maison is the authentic New Orleans experience, where locals go to hang out, hear great music and enjoy the Maison’s modern Creole menu made with local New Orleans ingredients.
The Maison’s low-lit ambiance and central Frenchmen Street location make it a great place to either start or end a night out with friends. Reservations are not required; however, larger groups should call ahead to ensure great seats for the evening’s entertainment.
