PROVIDING FOOD. MUSIC AND FUN:
THE FRENCH MARKET CREOLE TOMATO FESTIVAL,

THE LOUISIANA SEAFOOD FESTIVAL

AND NEW ORLEANS' JAZZ AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION
LOUISIANA CAJUN ZYDECO FESTIVAL



On Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, 14 from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm the French Market area from Dumaine Street to Barracks Street will be filled with food, music and fun.

For the past twenty-three years The French Market has celebrated the Creole Tomato but this year the French Market is combining the long standing Creole Tomato Festival with an embracing of the extraordinary local Louisiana Seafood Industry to showcase BOTH the CREOLE TOMATO and LOUISIANA SEAFOOD. In addition, the Louisiana Cajun Zydeco Festival will be providing top notch Louisiana music throughout the two day celebration in the French Market.


The CREOLE TOMATO FESTIVAL will be anchored in Dutch Alley which is located at Dumaine Street to St. Philip Street. There in Dutch Alley on Saturday and Sunday afternoons eight leading New Orleans chefs will prepare a wide variety of dishes each featuring our local Creole Tomato. The complete schedule of local chefs and the time of their cooking demonstrations is provided below.

Booths selling local Creole Tomatoes and tomato dishes will be located all along Dutch Alley. Among the Tomato vendors in the French Market will be Ben Becnel who will be selling his world famous Creole Tomatoes.


Booths selling Louisiana Seafood Dishes will be located in The Farmers' Market/Flea Market area between N. Peters and French Market Place between Ursulines and Barracks Street.


Both Saturday and Sunday afternoons the LOUISIANA CAJUN AND ZYDECO FESTIVAL will provide music by some of the very best Louisiana Cajun and Zydeco musicians. THE FRENCH MARKET STAGE will be located Barracks Street. THE DUMAINE STREET STAGE will be located just off Decatur St. at Dumaine. The complete Louisiana music schedule is provided below.

Charles Napoli, President of the French Market, Ewell Smith, Executive Director of Louisiana Seafood Promoters and Marketing, and Kenny Ferdinand, French Market Executive Director have all worked hard for many months to bring these three Louisiana Festivals together.
