French Quarter Festivals, Inc. (FQFI), producers of the largest FREE music festival in the South, French Quarter Festival, will kickoff of the festival season with its annual fundraiser, TGIF (Thank Goodness it’s Festival!), Thursday, April 16th at 7:00 p.m. at world famous Pat O’Brien’s in the French Quarter.

TGIF Tickets are $50 through April 9th and $65 beginning April 9th. Proceeds from ticket sales go toward keeping French Quarter Festival FREE and open to the public. Admission includes Abita beer, Southern Comfort cocktails, Pat O’Brien’s specialty drinks, Coca-Cola products and a great selection of food. Entertainment for the evening will include music by the unstoppable Walter “Wolfman” Washington & the Roadmasters and John Royen performing on solo piano. TGIF will once again raffle off an exciting array of gifts including fabulous dining certificates, hotel stays, and impressive baskets filled with Louisiana treats. The event is open to the public and dress is jazzy casual. In 2008, for the festivals’ 25th Anniversary, over 1000 guests attended the kickoff party and this year’s event is expected to grow.
