 It’s the biggest event for Dogs in Gretna!
It’s Pawdi Gras Time! This Saturday you get two events in one! The delicious Gretna Farmers’ market and Pawdi Gras Parade “Dancing with the Paws”. Farmers’ Market will have lovely fresh vegetables, Creole cream cheese, strawberries, sausage, cheese, breads, plants, BBQ, cookies, lollipops, chips & salsa, breakfast burritos, pralines, hot food to go by Capt’n Jack, hogshead cheese, natural soy soaps, candles and new to the market – Fresh Squeezed Lemonade and Kettle Corn! All the things you need for parade watching! The Pawdi Gras parade begins registration at 10:00am at Huey P. Long and Second Street with costume contest and crowning of the royal court to follow. The parade begins at 11:00am. You can still register your pooch by calling (504) 468-7069 or (504) 347-5922, or go on line at www.pawdigras.com or www.gretnala.com. Come out and have a good time with your best four legged friend! This event benefits P.A.W.S. a no kill facility for homeless and abused dogs. GRETNA FARMERS’ MARKET Huey P.
