at 1012, 1014 and 1018 Royal are hosting this wine / food event from 12 noon til 3 p.m. There will be art / antique auctions and a raffle, music from our own jazz ensemble and all of the proceeds will be donated to the Creative Arts Program at KIPP: McDonogh 15 School for the Creative Arts.

Willamette Valley visionaries Dick and Nancy Ponzi were among the first Oregon pinot producers and have been creating Burgundian Style pinot noirs and chardonnays, among other varietals, for the past thirty years. Their daughter, Anna-Maria Ponzi, will showcase their wines and discuss their winemaking practices such as gravity flow and pressing techniques. Paitin was established in 1796 with the first Barbaresco Sorì Paitin bottled in 1893. This Piedmontese winery has been producing outstanding Barbarescos ever since, along with arneis, barberas, dolcettos, and nebbiolos. Seventh generation winemaker, Giovanni Pasquero, will present these artisan wines at dinner. Chef Dominique will create Northern Italian fare to compliment these estate wines.

The Irish Channel St. Patrick's Day Club will hold its 61th Annual Mass and Parade celebration on Saturday, March 15th, 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Assumption Church (corner of Constance and Josephine Streets) followed by the parade (corner of Felicity and Magazine) at 1:00 p.m. The benefit block party will take place on Monday, March 17, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Annunciation Square Playground, directly in front of St. Michael's Special School; to whom the proceeds of the block will be donated.
