Restaurant Overview

In 1982, two guys named Dave and Buster opened their first restaurant/arcade in Dallas. (Dave won the coin toss so his name came first). Now, almost 40 years later, there are more than a hundred Dave & Buster’s, including one on Poydras Street in New Orleans.

Here you’ll find classic and state-of-the-art arcade games (including virtual reality games), fun menu items and a spirited cocktail menu and beer selection. Come eat, play or watch the Saints or the Pels play on one of the massive HDTVs with epic stadium sound.

Food-wise, you’ll find a lot of fun bar bites on the Dave & Buster’s menu as well as seriously fine entrees. If you just want to try the Pretzel Dogs, the Avocado Toast with Mexican Street Corn or Asian Chicken Wonton Nachos, go for it! But if you want something more substantial like Chicken and Waffle Sliders, a Buffalo Wing Burger, Slow-Cooked Smokehouse BBQ Ribs, or Fire-Grilled Salmon, you won’t be disappointed. There are great options if you don’t do meat, too, including a Plant-Based Burger with garlic aioli. Yum! And your little ones will love the kid’s menu with fun drinks with gummy worm and color-changing straw action.

Dave & Buster’s is a great place to have your next party as well—whether you’re a kid or just want to feel like a kid in a candy store. Along with their regular menu, they’ll be happy to whip up some New Orleans’ specialties, if you prefer. (The chef does a mean jambalaya.) Plus, there are several private rooms where you can play your own music and videos and money-saving packages that include video gameplay
