"Exquisite casual dining in a famous 1700’s building"
The Original Pierre Maspero’s, or Maspero’s, as locals call it, is a double French Quarter whammy. Housed in a famous building dating from the 1700s--a former exchange coffee house where famous pirate brothers Jean and Pierre Lafitte met to plot their escapades--Maspero’s offers a blend of New Orleans-inspired Cajun and contemporary Louisiana cuisine encapsulating the flavorful history of its location.
According to legend, the Original Pierre Maspero’s was also where General Andrew Jackson met with the Lafittes when planning the Battle of New Orleans! Jean Lafitte’s band of smugglers were instrumental in defending the city from Union invaders; Jackson went on to become the seventh U.S. president.
